Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Launch, Scale, and Enterprise?

Launch is built for small teams and solo operators who need a professional phone presence without the complexity — think 1  extension, standard business hours routing, voicemail-to-email, and a softphone or desk phone for additional cost. Scale is for growing businesses that need more structure: multiple departments, auto-attendants, ring groups, call recording, door intercoms and integrations with tools like HubSpot or your CRM. Enterprise is for organizations with custom requirements — multi-location dial plans,  paging systems, advanced call analytics, carrier redundancy, and tailored SLAs. Every tier is configured to your actual workflow, not dropped on you from a template.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. Etrium Connect is month-to-month across all three tiers. We'd rather keep you because the service is good than because you're locked in. If you need a longer commitment for budgeting reasons, we can offer annual pricing with a discount — but it's your choice, not a requirement.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. Number porting is included at no extra cost on all tiers. We handle the paperwork with your current carrier, schedule the port to minimize downtime (usually a few hours overnight), and keep your number active on a temporary line during the transition so you never miss a call. Most ports complete within 5 to 10 business days.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Your phones stay working. Etrium Connect runs on redundant carrier infrastructure (SignalWire primary, Twilio backup for outbound), so a carrier issue on our end won't take you offline. On your end, calls automatically failover to mobile softphones or a designated forwarding number — so if your office internet drops, your team keeps taking calls on their cell phones using the Etrium app, and your customers never know the difference. Enterprise plans can add a second internet connection or 4G/5G failover device for full redundancy.

What kind of support do I get, and who actually answers?

You get a real person — not a ticket queue. Every Etrium account has a direct line to the developer who set up your system, so whoever picks up already knows your extensions, your call flow, and your hardware. Launch and Scale include business-hours support (8 AM to 6 PM ET) with same-day response. Enterprise includes 24/7 emergency support and a defined SLA. No tier-one gatekeepers, no reading your account number three times, no scripts.

How much does Etrium Connect cost?

Pricing is straightforward and published — no "contact sales for a quote" games.

Launch — $20/month One extension, one line, softphone or desk phone, voicemail-to-email, business-hours routing, and number porting. Ideal for solo operators and very small teams needing their own numbers.

Scale — starting at $75/month Includes 1 line and 3 extensions, plus the full business phone system: auto-attendant, ring groups, call recording, door intercoms, CRM integration (HubSpot and others), and call analytics. Grows with you through simple add-ons:

  • Additional extension — $15/month each
  • Toll-free number — $10/month (includes 500 inbound minutes; $0.03/min after)
  • Local DID (extra phone number) — $5/month each
  • Call recording — $10/month

Built for small businesses that need a real phone system today and room to grow tomorrow.

Enterprise — Custom quote Multi-location dial plans, door intercoms, paging systems, carrier redundancy, 24/7 support, and defined SLAs. We walk you through every line item before you sign.

All tiers are month-to-month with no long-term contracts, and number porting is always included. Hardware is priced separately and quoted upfront — we recommend what actually fits your workflow rather than bundling gear you don't need.

Can I add extensions to Launch instead of upgrading to Scale?

Launch is designed as a single-extension service for solo operators — it doesn't include the features that make a multi-extension setup actually work, like auto-attendants to route incoming calls, ring groups, or call recording. If you need more than one extension, Scale is the right fit. It starts at $75/month for up to 3 extensions and includes everything you need to run a real multi-person phone system. Most businesses that outgrow Launch find Scale pays for itself quickly in professionalism alone — no more missed calls because the one person with the phone was unavailable.
